This time around, it’s our turn to party with the likes of Ludacris and E! reality star Kendra, both hosting celebrity-soaked events at ’s Hotel & Casino.

And this Super Bowl, when steps out for a meal, you may find him on because the NFL host hotel — until now always in Miami- — is at the .

It’s not that Broward or were left out of , but for the 2010 game the limelight and the game’s economic impact will shift north. At the same time, are hopeful that Super Bowl will be given a “” dateline, not “Miami.”

While the entire region — to Palm Beach — will feel the impact of the game, a confluence of events is set to give Broward a bigger cut of the estimated $350 million headed to .

That’s because has added 3,200 hotel rooms — about 10 percent of its total — in just the last five years. There are now 13 hotels included in what the Visitors Bureau calls the Lauderdale Luxe collection, each with in-house full- and spas. The has a AAA Five Diamond rating and a Mobile four-star score.

“If you came into town and you were a high-end spender for Super Bowl and you want to stay in a high-end hotel, you tended to have to go down to Miami,” says former Kim Bokamper. “Now with the W and Ritz-Carlton, there’s no need to have to go down there.”

In 2007, the last time the Super Bowl was in , Palm Beach County hosted just one event – Super Clematis By Night in West Palm Beach that drew an estimated 25,000 people and millions of dollars to local businesses.

With results like that, the county is now host to more than a dozen events, including the All-American Tailgate Block Party and the family-friendly Pinball Palooza that drew to Delray Beach this week.

, FL – (January 20, 2009) – Sling , LLC One of the nation’s network operators announced today that it has been selected as provider of wireless internet service by The City of , Florida.

The pedestrian-friendly environment is the perfect place to enjoy ; Just minutes from the beach, the downtown district is on the National Register of Historic Places and is the backdrop for year-round festivals, street markets and entertainment.

The new Wi-Fi will allow ’s public safety agencies to operate more efficiently while providing free outdoor Internet access to all city residents, businesses and visitors. Wi-Fi users will enjoy Internet access at speeds similar to that of DSL, while the strength of the municipal signal will allow, for example, police officers in to download information vital to public safety quickly and efficiently over a secure network.

“Today’s approval of this technology project puts on the cutting edge of Florida’s cities in providing superior service to its residents and positions to continue attracting and life sciences companies,” said Mayor Mara Giulianti. “I am particularly excited about ’s being a wireless city and the versatility it provides. The operational and energy efficiencies from the projects are expected to save more than $23 million during a 15-year period. , under the terms of the performance contract, will guarantee performance of the technology improvements. The savings will come from the performance of the wireless technologies, which will create operational efficiencies in multiple departments and streamline many city functions.

Wireless technology will enable ’s water meter reading process to become fully automated. This will ensure all utility customers obtain accurate and timely water billings based on actual – not estimated – usage. An automated system also gives the city flexible billing options and provides leak detection capabilities.
