The MP.16 3300 operates in the 3.3 GHz band and the MP.16 3650 operates in the band – both of which are lightly-licensed bands designated specifically to give smaller the ability to extend service without the high cost and hassle of traditional licenses.

The band is primarily used to help smaller fill in the service gaps in the U.S., and Sling – who operates one of North America’s largest networks – has already begun deploying ’s MP.16 3650 products to extend its network.

“We have been using ’s equipment for years to deploy thousands of square miles of service, and as a result we’ve been recognized as one of the most reliable networks in North America,” said Addiel Lopez, CEO of Sling . “With these lightly-licensed products from , it is not only simpler to provide the performance of licensed networks, but also much more cost-effective. This will help us ensure that we can continue to increase the performance of our network to meet future customer demand while maintaining the value we currently offer.”

The MP.16 3300 and 3650 offer of all sizes the easiest and most cost-effective to install and maintain, the most secure and interoperable, and the most scalable system for taking advantage of the 3.3 GHz and frequency bands. Both product lines consist of an all-outdoor, single sector base station and multiple subscriber configurations (integrated antenna or N-Connector for external antenna).

Quick, Cost Effective Installation and Lower Maintenance Costs

’s MP.16 3300 and 3650 incorporate hardware and software features that reduce labor costs associated with initial deployment and post-sales maintenance.

  • Provides consistent deployment & user experience to existing MP.16 products via an easy-to-use graphical interface
  • Single UV-protected CAT5 cable carries power and data
  • Decrease subscriber unit configuration time with integrated and vertical/horizontal polarized antennas
  • Eliminate guess work in locating the remote antennas with audible tone and real-time signal strength measurements
  • Supports for both local and remote management, removing the need for expensive on-site supports

Secure and Interoperable

The MP.16 3300 and 3650 utilize multiple advanced security features to protect operator, residential customer and privacy.

  • AES encryption protects over-the-air transmission
  • Client authentication with X.509 certificates

By leveraging our industry-leading MP.11 product line, is able to bring that expertise in supporting the service provider with a compliant product.

  • A more scalable approach to system deployment, beginning with entry-level single-sector base stations and growing into six-sector macro base stations with GPS synchronization; this approach lowers the barrier to deploy systems and enables a wider variety of to use this technology, from rural providers requiring less dense configurations to metropolitan providers who need to support more nodes at closer range.
  • Investment protection through common concept of network design and software feature sets, which includes rich management capabilities, most advanced encryption with AES and authentication via RADIUS, antenna alignment utility, and revenue-enhancing services with control
  • Leveraging existing software features, mechanical designs and customer channels, effectively addresses markets such as: Last Mile Access; Security and Surveillance; and Metropolitan Networks

“The 3.3 GHz and bands provide a great new opportunity for of all sizes to more cost-effectively deploy licensed networks throughout the world,” said Pankaj Manglik, President and CEO of . “At , we also deliver a complete portfolio of additional technologies designed to augment – from indoor and outdoor Wi-Fi to Gigabit point-to-point backhaul – providing a single source for looking to capitalize on the cost savings and performance gains of a truly end-to-end network.”

For customers looking to explore their options when it comes to securing government funding for their deployments, has created its Government Grant Resource Guide. Your ability to stay connected to the information you need is the most important feature of any service. This is why Sling offers ’s most reliable network. Sling is committed in building and delivering a new alternative to traditional . Providing an ultra high speed solution across a wide array of product lines; covering residential, small business, and level data solutions with virtually limit less possibilities in configuration and speeds.

With 4500+ customers in 45 cities covering 3000+ square miles of real estate, Sling is the most active player in an emerging industry that sells a technology known as , or worldwide interoperability for microwave access. Unlike Wi-Fi, the radio wave technology in airports and cafes that allows users to log on to the Internet from their laptop computers within 150 feet of an antenna, delivers Internet connections through fixed antennas that send and receive signals across entire cities.

Using the most powerful equipment, a single antenna atop a tall building can provide high-speed data transmission to users as far as 30 miles away, although the optimal range is less than half of that. The radio signals and antennas are unaffected by bad weather and provide an alternative to data cables that are sunk below sidewalks and can accidentally be cut by construction crews.

Sling Broadbands network and coverage is the largest in North America spanning over 800+ Square Miles of real estate. Sling Broadbands flexible network provides our customers with robust, high-speed Internet connection, plus a full complement of value-added service options including public Wi-Fi access, Heart Beat proactive monitoring, and voice over IP () over a common network infrastructure.

The price is another advantage of the system. Sling charges $250 a month for a 1.54-megabits-a-second connection; about one-third to one-half less than the cost of service on comparable T1 lines that phone companies sell to businesses for data transmission. Sling can charge less because it does not have to rent connections from Bell South or another former Bell company that runs local switching stations.

Getting businesses to buy is a challenge because the technology is new. But Sling , which was formed in 2006 and, according to the company, has been profitable since June, is finding that securing rooftop space on skyscrapers is a hurdle, too

Sling spent more than six months negotiating leases with many landmark Building in Downtown . But from those perches, and similar ones atop the Wachovia Financial Center and a Data Center in downtown , Sling can reach virtually every office in the county, including those that are out of sight of the towers.

Sling Broadbands optimism is warranted, many analysts expect. The business of delivering high-speed Internet service is worth about $400 million globally and could quadruple in the next few years, according to the Forum, a group of providers and equipment makers.

Businesses in urban centers are the primary focus. But customers in rural areas where there are no connections to cable or phone companies are also targets. In those places, antennas can be placed on radio or cellular towers. is also being introduced in developing countries where Internet access through fiber or copper cable is hard to come by.
