Today, using light and radio waves to communicate provides nearly unlimited opportunities. Nothing can match the speed and capacity obtained by channeling multiplexed light waves through hair-thin strands of glass. Or transmiting unfathomable amouts of data through invisible waves that travel through the air. In the past, fiber optic technology was prohibitively expensive. Sling Broadband radical economics have changed that.
Sling Broadband uses the most advanced optical and wireless networking technology and smart networking configurations to ensure you receive the highest performance levels. With optical & wireless networking's promise of speed and capacity and Sling Broadband commitment to quality, we're unleashing the Internet's true potential
.The Sling Broadband Network interconnects and peers withf the largest IP transit networks in North America and Europe. The Sling Broadband Network was designed to maximize coverage, performance, flexibility and scalability. We offer more metro route options than other provider and our intercity wireless coverage, renders access to over 1800 metropolitan saquare miles.
Our high-capacity, backbone was recently overbuilt with new WiMAX and optic-line routing layers. Sling Broadband technology deployments have enabled new, market-leading services like GigE wireless. Our voice footprint is expanding with our network. We currently have connectivity to the leargest long-distance carriers in the United States. Our customers have the ability to terminate calls anywhere in the world over the Sling Broadband Network.
Sling Broadband end-to-end optical network consists of multiple metropolitan IP fiber rings located in Sling Broadband major markets throughout Florida. Sling Broadband currently has a presence in over 60 markets throughout Florida. Sling Broadband network provides each building or data center with up to 10 Gbit/s of dedicated bandwidth. Layer 3 edge routers in each building are connected to Cisco Layer 3 core routers over two diverse optical / wireless paths. These core routers are tied together via an international backbone network consisting of multiple Gbit BGP4 links over our 6 Tier 1 carriers. With a currently implemented capacity of 100 Gbit/s, Sling Broadband internal WiMAX IP network is the largest in North America
